The New Jersey Sustainability Summit brings together leaders, practitioners, and innovators working across municipalities, schools, and organizations to advance sustainability at the community level.
Taking place at Bell Works in Holmdel, New Jersey, this one-day event is designed as a practical, high-impact gathering — where ideas are not only discussed, but translated into real strategies that can be applied locally.
The Summit focuses on the broader sustainability landscape, including climate readiness, energy, mobility, infrastructure, and community development. With a program of 16 sessions, participants will explore topics such as:
▪️ eMobility and transportation electrification
▪️ climate resilience and hazard planning
▪️ energy resources and emissions reduction strategies
▪️ sustainable infrastructure, including Complete Streets and stormwater management
▪️ community engagement and education
In addition to sessions, the event offers drop-in coaching opportunities, allowing municipalities and organizations to receive direct guidance on:
▪️ active transportation and Safe Routes to Schools
▪️ community energy planning initiatives
▪️ climate vulnerability assessments and risk reduction strategies
A key highlight of the Summit is the EV Ride & Drive and Fleet Showcase, where attendees can experience the latest electric vehicles across passenger and fleet categories — from light-duty to medium- and heavy-duty applications.
At this year’s event, Damera Corporation will be participating with the Karsan eJEST electric minibus on display as part of the fleet showcase.
This provides an opportunity to:
▪️ see how a right-sized electric transit vehicle fits into community mobility systems
▪️ explore accessibility features and low-floor design in person
▪️ understand how compact electric buses can support local transit, shuttle, and paratransit services
In the context of sustainability, transportation plays a critical role — not only in reducing emissions, but in improving access, strengthening communities, and supporting equitable mobility.
Events like the New Jersey Sustainability Summit reflect a growing shift:
👉 from high-level sustainability goals
👉 to practical, community-level implementation
If you are attending the Summit, we invite you to explore the fleet showcase and experience the Karsan eJEST firsthand.
This is an opportunity to better understand how right-sized electric transit solutions can support sustainability goals while improving daily operations and accessibility.
Let’s continue the conversation — and work toward mobility systems that are not only cleaner, but more effective for the communities they serve.
