Damera Corporation is proud to share that the Karsan eJEST played a key role in the Palm Beach Gardens Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Mobile Tour, an event that brought planners, transportation professionals, and public officials together to explore how multimodal design shapes thriving communities.
Instead of learning about mobility from presentations alone, attendees experienced it in real time—traveling between TOD sites aboard the fully electric, low-floor eJEST. The tour was organized in collaboration with the Palm Beach Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), the City of Palm Beach Gardens, and the APA Florida Treasure Coast Chapter.
The TOD Mobile Tour focused on real-world environments: walkable corridors, compact city blocks, mixed-use developments, and areas where traditional 40-foot buses do not operate efficiently.
The eJEST demonstrated why right-sized transit is becoming essential for communities embracing TOD principles:
Its compact footprint and tight maneuverability allow the eJEST to navigate streets where large buses simply cannot operate without affecting traffic flow or pedestrian activity.
TOD districts place strong emphasis on comfort, safety, and low emissions.
The eJEST’s quiet operation and zero tailpipe emissions reinforced the kind of people-first environment that TOD aims to create.
Low-floor boarding, a fully accessible interior, and a quick-deploy ramp offered attendees a real demonstration of inclusive design—critical for communities serving seniors, wheelchair users, and families with strollers.
Attendees experienced the benefits firsthand:
This “experience in motion” showed how right-sized electric vehicles support TOD outcomes more effectively than traditional fleets.
As cities across Florida and the U.S. accelerate TOD initiatives, the demand for compact and efficient mobility continues to grow. The eJEST supports TOD in several key ways:
Right-sized vehicles help communities deliver the frequency, convenience, and comfort required to reduce car dependency—an essential goal of TOD.
We extend our sincere thanks to Circuit, our valued partner, for selecting the Karsan eJEST fleet to support the tour.
Seeing our vehicles help mobility professionals evaluate and plan better transit experiences is a meaningful demonstration of the impact right-sized electric solutions can make.
If your community is exploring microtransit, first/last-mile service, or TOD-focused mobility, our team can help you identify the right solution.
